HorseBetting’s New South Wales form analyst his best bets and suggested quaddie numbers for Wednesday’s seven-race program at Warwick Farm. The track is rated a Heavy 9 and the rail is in the true position for the entire course. Racing is scheduled to get underway at 12:50pm AEST, while the last race of the afternoon will go off at 4:20pm.

Warwick Farm Best Bet – Petulant

Petulant makes her metropolitan debut on Wednesday in what appears to be a very winnable race for the promising three-year-old filly. Trained by Michael, Wayne & John Hawkes and to be ridden by the in-form William Pike, this daughter of Starspangledbanner looks well suited in this Benchmark 72 Handicap over 1000m off the back of one winning trial. Drawn nicely in barrier seven, Pike will go forward on the filly as she searches for a third consecutive victory. This is well within reach.

Best Bet

Race 6 – Silk #10 Petulant (7)

3yo Filly | T: Michael, Wayne & John Hawkes | J: William Pike (55.5kg)

$2.10 with Ladbrokes

Next Best at Warwick Farm – Kibou

Gai Waterhouse & Adrian Bott saddle up what could be a pretty smart two-year-old in the form of Kibou. The son of boom stallion Maurice started as a $5 second favourite with online bookies on debut in the Group 3 Breeders’ Plate (1000m) at Randwick in October on the back of a winning trial. It was all a bit too much for him on that occasion, so he was tipped out, gelded and has returned to the track in fine style, winning both of his trials in good order. He is likely to lead this field from barrier four under Regan Bayliss, which should see him prove too classy for his rivals in midweek company.

Next Best

Race 2 – Silk #5 Kibou (4)

2yo Gelding | T: Gai Waterhouse & Adrian Bott | J: Regan Bayliss (57kg)

$3.90 with Neds

Next Best Again at Warwick Farm – Finepoint

Chris Waller and James McDonald can combine in the fifth to win with three-year-old filly Finepoint, who is having her second run this preparation. The daughter of Pins has raced only five times, winning back-to-back races at the end of last prep, with both wins coming on the only two occasions McDonald has been on her back. First-up, she ran a brave third behind Ita and Niffler with 60kg in the saddle, so she is going to relish coming back to 58kg and gaining the services of the world’s best jockey. Hopefully, she doesn’t get used up early from barrier 10 and has enough in the tank at the business end.

Next Best Again

Race 5 – Silk #9 Finepoint (10)

3yo Filly | T: Chris Waller | J: James McDonald (58kg)

$2.60 with Bet365
