Journalists Wandering Eyes Posted May 31, 2022 Journalists Share Posted May 31, 2022 G2 Ballarat Cup winner Compliance stands out in a Mixed 4/5 460m race at Warragul tonight that also includes G1 Harrison-Dawson placegetter Here Comes Pie. G2 runner-up Gracie Bale v Zipping Scorcher v Ferocious Rust v Jet Like Rico and Fish Tog Giblet v Golden Skyrocket v the in-form Anita Sonic Love are both exciting contests. Four-time G2 country cup champion Ferdinand Boy is the headline act in a 410m Free For All at Horsham early this evening with last-start winner Lektra Heckler considered the main danger. G3 finalist Rio Bhodi, the immensely-talented Decimate and promising chaser Enamoured are all expected to win their respective races, while Aston Carey v Zipping Bronte is a top clash. OBOYA BALE (4) meets a royally bred first starter, however she has panels on the raced brigade and the debutant will need to have a V12 engine to beat her. UNLEASH COLLINDA (8) is a serious prospect and should just add a little more value to the multi. Multi price: $3.37 $2.50 Multi First : Win – BLAZIN’ MASTER Geelong Race 5 Box 4 460m 4:14pmTAB fixed odds: $2 WinForm https://watchdog.grv.org.au/meeting/666538632/race/5 Second : Win – SCUFFY Horsham Race 5 Box 8 485m 4:42pmTAB fixed odds: $3 WinForm https://watchdog.grv.org.au/meeting/666538633/race/5 The Watchdog says : BLAZIN’ MASTER (4) showed a fantastic turn of foot in his maiden win at Ballarat, and he looks very well graded today. With some room in the first 20m, he should assume control quickly and score. SCUFFY (8) is ideally drawn out wide and he goes to work soon after box rise. It’s not an overly strong race, so he should be able to take over as they head into the bend, and he will dash away as they bunch underneath him. Multi price: $6 $3 Place – HERE COMES PIE Must Watch Race Mixed Grade 4/5 Warragul Race 8 Box 4 460m 9:18pm TAB fixed odds: $2 Place (Top two finish required) The Watchdog says : HERE COMES PIE (4) was Group 1 placed at Sandown Park two runs back and he has won here previously in a ridiculous 25.53sec. He takes on an elite line-up, however he is clearly just as talented as any runner in this event and with vacant draws on either side, he should get every chance to finish top-two at nice odds. ‘Must Watch Race’ Preview : COMPLIANCE (1) is the reigning Group 2 Ballarat Cup champion, and he will be looking to atone for his luckless runs in his past two. He recorded his scorching 25.56sec PB here from this draw and he is racing better now than when he recorded that time, so a good getaway tonight should see him pounce on the lead and a sub 25.50sec run could be on the cards. EL DORADO (6) is a serious prospect. He followed up his two brilliant performances here with a colossal effort at Ballarat last time and with vacant draws on either side, he should get plenty of room to balance up and put himself into contention. HERE COMES PIE (4) is two-of-two here and although he hasn’t tasted victory in his past eight starts, he was Group 1 placed at Sandown Park two runs back. ZIPPING HEAT (2) is a class act on his night; however, he is taking on some elite types and may find the going tough.
