Journalists Wandering Eyes Posted June 1, 2022 Journalists Share Posted June 1, 2022 Group One-winning sprinter Roch ‘N’ Horse could be instore for a busy spring. “She is in Sydney pre-training. She is due back in our stable next week,” trainer Michael Moroney told Bensley. “We are pretty keen to get her going early enough to see if she is going well enough for The Everest (A$15 million, 1200m).” An upset victor in the Gr.1 Newmarket Handicap (1200m) in March, the daughter of Per Incanto subsequently disappointed when beating just one runner home in the Gr.1 TJ Smith Stakes (1200m) a month later, but trainer Michael Moroney said she was found to have a spiked temperature following the race. “She pulled up a bit wrong after her Sydney run and she had a temperature for quite a few days. We couldn’t move her for a while,” Moroney said. “Her temperature was normal that morning but she just wasn’t quite herself on the day and raced accordingly. “I know she is a lot better than that.” Roch ‘N’ Horse is raced by her breeder Little Avondale Stud.
