Journalists Wandering Eyes Posted August 10, 2018 Journalists Share Posted August 10, 2018 Chris Waller’s G1 Doomben Cup winner Comin’ Through (Aus) (Fastnet Rock {Aus}) is nearing a return to competitive action after a spell. The 5-year-old beat stable-mate Egg Tart (Aus) (Sebring {Aus}) by a head in the ten furlong contest at Doomben last May, his first top level win and his trainer is hoping he can add to that tally this season, either at home or broad. “Comin’ Through has come back a treat,” Waller announced on his Twitter feed on Friday. “After trialling well earlier in the week, he will have one more trial and look to resume first up in the [G2] Tramway Stakes [at Randwick Sept 1] before tackling some bigger Group 1 targets. Connections also keen to look towards Japan at some stage,” the trainer added. The Tramway S. is also the plan for the aforementioned Egg Tart before the dual group 1 winning mare tackles the G1 Caulfield Cup.
