CURLY JACK (c, 2, Good Magic–Connie and Michael, by Roman Ruler) made the most of his inside post, going straight to the lead at odds of 4-1, setting the pace throughout, and holding off Boxster (West Coast) down the stretch to win by an easy three lengths on the wire to be the first winner for his freshman sire Good Magic.
