(Photo: Jenny Barnes)Queensland Racing Integrity Commission (QRIC) veterinarians have on Friday afternoon announced that two fillies – Glint Of Hope and Le Villi – are required to pass further inspections ahead of Saturday’s Group 1 Queensland Oaks at Eagle Farm, following issues discovered on Friday. Glint Of Hope, a $13 chance in the Oaks, is chasing back-to-back Group 1 victories, after proving too good in the Australasian Oaks on April 30 at Morphettville. READ: HorseBetting’s best bets and $100 betting strategy for the 2022 Queensland Oaks The Trent Busuttin & Natalie Young-trained daughter of Deep Impact was found to have minor heel pain, which means she will have to be re-shod and reinspected by QRIC vets on Saturday morning if she is to take part in the $700,000 race. Also needing to be passed fit on Saturday morning is the Kris Lees-trained Le Villi. Currently an $18 hope with online bookmakers, the former New Zealand-based three-year-old was found to be short striding in front, with the vets yet to deem her fit to run.
