Cambridge trainers Andrew and Lyn Neal are heading to Alexandra Park on Thursday night confident of bold performances from both of their runners.

Winner’s Time heads into the Reharvest Handicap Trot (2200m) off the back of a last start victory at Cambridge Raceway earlier this month and his trainers are hoping for a repeat performance from the son of Master Glide.

“The field is not overly strong, but there are a couple of John Dickie’s that look quite good,” Lyn Neal said.

“It just all depends how he gets away and where he is positioned in the running.”

Winner’s Time has been in good form since Andrew Neal was dislodged from the cart at Cambridge last month.

“It was a super win last start,” Lyn Neal said.

“His run before that at Auckland (for third) was really good, he just got a bit squeezed in the finish. I am really rapt with him.

“When Andrew had the accident with him the start prior, he said he was feeling awesome.

“He has just improved a lot lately.

“It is Auckland and he is the last horse on the page, being off the unruly off the 10m, but I can’t see why he can’t acquit himself really well.”

Neal will hop in the cart herself later on the card behind stablemate Run Forest Run in the Wed Quiz Night At The Alex Trot (2200m).

The son of Orlando Vici also heads into the race in good form, having placed in his last two starts.

“He is a work in progress but I am very happy with him. I am expecting big things from him on Thursday night,” Neal said.

“We are going from the mobiles with him at the moment. He has had the one start from the stand and he is going to get there, his last trial he went away nicely, but we are just being very careful with him, he is just a little bit frail.

“If he does everything right, he should just have too much speed for them.”
