I’M EASY BOYS (1) is one of the most versatile chasers in the game and he is drawn to lead for a long way. The last 40m is a concern but he should have enough in the tank for a top-two finish. HILL TOP JACK (1) has led for a long way in his past two over this journey and with those two runs under his belt, he should hit the line better and get the cash tonight. CASH IT IN (1) is a serious prospect and from the inside draw, there should be no excuses. Multi price: $3.60 $2 Win – NIKOLI BALE $1 Win – MEPUNGA WARRIOR Must Watch Race Great Eight event Sandown Park Race 8 Boxes 3 & 6 595m 8:49pm TAB fixed odds: $4.40 Win (Nikoli Bale)TAB fixed odds: $8 Win (Mepunga Warrior) The Watchdog says : I’m expecting NIKOLI BALE (3) to roll to the early lead, and he will prove very hard to reel in. We will have a small saver bet on MEPUNGA WARRIOR (6) as well. He has the ability to lead or come from off the pace. ‘Must Watch Race’ Preview : ASTON ULYSSES (1) has a great record over this track/distance and he recorded his sizzling 33.81sec PB from this draw. If he can step on terms, he should be able to hold a top-two spot through the bend and figure in the finish. NIKOLI BALE (3) is an extremely underrated speedster, and he has turned in some great performances of late. He steps up to the 595m journey and he should have enough pace to cross and lead. KNICKS BALE (5) is a Group 1 winner and one of the most versatile chasers in work. She has the ability to lead or come from off the pace in her races and an ounce of luck early can see her hit the scoreboard. MEPUNGA WARRIOR (6) is the interesting runner. He has turned in two big performances over 525m since resuming and he steps up to his ideal distance range. The draw is a concern but if he can time the start, he has the pace to put himself into a prominent spot and he will be there to strike as they turn for home.
