Five more wild cards were added to the Arqana Summer Sale in Deauville on Friday. Scheduled for June 30-July 1, the two-day stand has gained lot 420, the Pia and Joakim Brandt-trained Areen (Giant's Causeway), who is a half-brother to the stakes horse Royale By Nature (Ire) (Myboycharlie {Ire}). Alexandra Rosa will consign the placed Queen Clemence (Ire) (Footstepsinthesand {GB}) (lot 442) from the family of G1 Prix du Jockey Club hero Blue Canari (Fr) (Acatenango {Ger}); while Daddy Long Legs (Fr) (Almanzor {Fr}) (lot 443), out of the listed winner Private Eye (Fr) (American Post {GB}) will be offered by Nicolas Clement. Lot 444, Afadil (Fr) (Camelot {GB}), has won over 2200 metres for trainer Francis-Henri Graffard, and is related to the group winners Ashkalani (Ire) (Soviet Star), Gengis (Fr) (King's Best), and Shafaraz (Fr) (Levmoss {GB}). Francois Nicolle sends the listed hurdle scorer Mombasa (Fr) (Martaline {GB}) through the ring as lot 500.
