APOLLO ONE (8) is ideally drawn out wide and he will be on the speed from the outset. CRABBY YABBY (1) has a good record here and she will get plenty of cover in the initial stages of the race.

The Watchdog says : DEMON FLYER (5) is taking on some exciting youngsters including Friday night’s Pink Diamond Rookie Short Course placegetter FLYING PIE (4), but he has a great record here over 350m and he will be strong in the run home. With luck early, he can maybe sneak into second or third.

‘Must Watch Race’ Preview :

FLYING PIE (4) has been enormous in his brief career to date. With four wins from five attempts over this track/distance and a scorching 16.47sec PB, he is expected to make his presence felt. SHIMA SHEEN (2) has gone to another level since joining the Selkrig kennel and he has a tremendous record here over 350m. He has proven to be a reliable beginner and with FASCINATE AUSSIE (1) expected to be prominent early, he should get a nice run into the race. ASTON SCORCHER (6) is a gifted speedster, but he can miss the kick and he will be looking for the rail, so he is going to need a few things to go his way. DEMON FLYER (5) may be the value runner. He has a great record here over 350m and he caught the eye when placed in his heat. The draw isn’t great, but he will be very strong in the closing stages.

RELEASE THE RAGE (2) is a rocket and he will be carving out time in the lead.
