Aidan O'Brien trainee Statuette (Justify–Immortal Verse {Ire}, by Pivotal {GB}) earned a 'TDN Rising Star' tag with a potent display in her May 28 debut tackling an extended five furlongs at Navan and justified 4-6 favouritism with a battling performance upped to six for Sunday's G2 Airlie Stud S. at the Curragh. Finding her slot behind the leaders in fourth through halfway, she was shaken up passing the quarter-mile marker and ridden out once inching ahead with 150 yards remaining to remain perfect on black-type bow. Outsiders Badb (Ire) (Footstepsinthesand {GB}) and Matilda Picotte (Ire) (Sioux Nation) were persistent threats in the closing stages and finished 3/4-of-a-length and the same in arrears.
