'TDN Rising Star' CHARGE IT (c, 3, Tapit–I'll Take Charge, by Indian Charlie), runner-up in the GI Curlin Florida Derby and last seen finishing 17th in the May 7 GI Kentucky Derby, put it all together in Saturday's GIII Dwyer S. at Belmont, as he stalked and drew off to win by the length of the stretch. The Whisper Hill homebred stopped the clock in 1:34.67, with longshot Runningsonofagun (Gun Runner) second and Fluid Situation (Warrior's Reward) third. This was the third high-profile winner on the afternoon for trainer Todd Pletcher, who also saddled GII John A. Nerud S. romper Life Is Good (Into Mischief) and debut-winning $2-million KEESEP topper Capensis (Tapit) earlier on the card. Lifetime Record: GISP, 5-2-2-0.
