Journalists Wandering Eyes Posted July 12, 2022 Journalists Share Posted July 12, 2022 What Doomben Races Where Doomben Racecourse – 75 Hampden St, Ascot QLD 4007 When Wednesday, July 13, 2022 First Race 12pm AEST Visit Ladbrokes Doomben is on the quick four-day turnaround with nine races scheduled to be run and won following a mammoth 10-race card on Saturday. HorseBetting’s Queensland racing analyst presents his best bets and quaddie numbers for Wednesday’s program, which is scheduled to begin at 12pm AEST. The track is rated a Soft 6 and the rail is out 5m for the entire course. Best Bet at Doomben – Billionair Baby Billionair Baby comes out of a hot two-year-old maiden two starts ago and then ran exceptionally well in the B.J. McLachlan Stakes (1000m) at the Sunshine Coast on July 2, so we expect him to be taking care of this field. The Robert Heathcote-trained gelding has been runner-up in his first two starts, so this midweek maiden looks right up his alley. The son of Winning Rupert has had to make up a stack of ground in both of his races to date, so we are hoping from barrier one under James Orman, he can settle a bit closer and not have as much ground to make up. Out of his debut run, we have already seen multiple subsequent winners, so we would be surprised if Billionair Baby doesn’t get his maiden out of the way on Wednesday in this. Best Bet Race 3 – #1 Billionair Baby (1) 2yo Gelding | T: Rob Heathcote | J: James Orman (57kg) $2.25 with Ladbrokes Next Best at Doomben – Joy Too All Joy Too All has a very nice race in her at some point, so this Class 5 Handicap should be a winnable race for her. The David Vandyke-trained five-year-old was excellent when winning first-up on the Polytrack at the Sunshine Coast, before running fourth behind Uncommon James, Safework and Mill Rossa at her most recent start. Uncommon James won the Listed Darby McCarthy on Saturday, Safework ran second again in Open company and Mill Rossa won comfortably at Rockhampton, so the race looks hot. From gate three, Jim Byrne will have the mare by All Too Hard in a midfield spot, just awaiting the runs. With an ounce of luck, Joy Too All will be winning her sixth race on Wednesday. Next Best Race 6 – #3 Joy Too All (3) 5yo Mare | T: David Vandyke | J: Jim Byrne (58kg) $2.35 with Unibet Best Value at Doomben – Kingscote Noel Callow is riding with a wing on every foot at the minute, having ridden three winners over the weekend at Rockhampton, including the Rocky Newmarket, so we are expecting his hot form to continue back in Brisbane this week. In the seventh, Callow hops aboard the Scott Morrisey-trained Kingscote, who resumes to racing following a decent spell. The son of I Am Invincible was last seen in November when failing to beat a runner home behind Salateen, while his previous runs were behind The Big Goodbye, Mill Rossa and She Can Sing. Drawn well in barrier two, Callow will send the five-year-old forward where he can look to control the race from the start and give them something to reel in. The sting out of the track is an advantage also. Best Value Race 7 – #1 Kingscote (2) 5yo Gelding | T: Scott Morrisey | J: Noel Callow (60.5kg) $5.50 with Palmerbet Wednesday quaddie tips for Doomben Doomben quadrella selections Wednesday, July 13, 2022 3-6 1-5-9 1-6-7-8-11-13 6 Investment: $36 for 100% More horse racing tips View the full article
