Journalists Wandering Eyes Posted July 19, 2022 Journalists Share Posted July 19, 2022 Hopefully, a few of you followed last week’s addition in Yes Dream, as he proved too good at juicy odds at Eagle Farm on Saturday. The team at The Follow Files has found a few more horses to add to your blackbook from Saturday’s racing in the hope of finding a few more future winners before the 2022 Spring Carnival. Eagle Farm | Track: Good 4 | Rail: +1m Entire Course Race 8: Class 3 Plate (1400m) | Time: 1:24.23 Horse to follow: FIELD WIRI (2nd) On Saturday, Richard & Will Freedman’s FIELD WIRI had her first start in Queensland, and while she didn’t get the win, one isn’t far away. The three-year-old filly got a long way back in the run, so she was entitled to finish midfield. Despite no luck in running, she flew home to miss by only two-tenths of a length. Prior to Saturday’s run, she ran second to Frumos who won at Rosehill Gardens on Saturday, so the form is strong and she is racing well. When to bet: There are two nice races around for Field Wiri at Eagle Farm on July 30 – a 3YO Handicap over 1400m, or a Class 3 Plate over 1600m. Both races would be well and truly winnable for her. After being tardy at the start, the filly by Fastnet Rock flew home to beaten three and a half lengths, with the only two horses to beat her home both handy gallopers. She also ran the 13th fastest 800m to 600m sectional split across the entire meeting, which is a good effort for her debut run. When to bet: There are plenty of races this time of year for these sort of horses, so watch for her to pop up in a fortnight – whether that be in Melbourne or Sydney. What a 2YO!
