Tim Williams could be the factor that helps Heisenberg break through for a long-awaited and well-deserved victory at Addington on Friday night.

The last time Williams combined with the Robert and Jenna Dunn trained pacer the pair set a new national record for 2400m when winning the Central Otago Cup.

Reuniting with the reinsman for the first time since January 2020 could be the spark Heisenberg needs to score on the back of four consecutive second placings.

“He is doing everything but getting into the winner’s circle,” Williams said.

“He has been knocking on the door and it looks another nice race for him.”

“He has had plenty of runs under his belt now and he is pretty much racing the same horses so he should be pretty competitive again.”

Williams combines with My Moment’s now in Friday night’s feature trot.

The trotter looks capable of continuing her good run of form in the 2600m handicap.

“She gets it pretty right at the start and she is a good follower of speed.”

“She will need the right run, but she has shown right through this campaign that she is definitely one that can be in three.”

Williams combines with two horses from his home base at Stonewall Stables.

Alta Debonair debuts after galloping in his only South Island trial.

“I don’t mind him but obviously he had the one trial and made a mistake, then the trials were rained off last week.”

“It is a little bit of wait and see, but off his work he is going to be competitive.”

“It was a little bit uncharacteristic what he did at the trials, he gave himself a fright more than anything.”

There are fewer questions about Obsession who steps out in race 10 on the back of a gritty fourth first up in the South Island.

“She probably had to be driven upside down a little bit, having to sit in the death wasn’t her go in life first up.”

“But we had forced a little bit.”

“She should be improved off the run, the draw might look tricky but if she gets the right drag into it she is a first four chance again.”

Williams rates Olive Cook a first four chance from a slightly tricky draw in barrier 5 with gate speed inside her in race 5.

Williams says he has time for Lucinda Hest who steps out in race 3 and doesn’t think the trotter will stay a maiden for too long.
