Journalists Wandering Eyes Posted July 26, 2022 Journalists Share Posted July 26, 2022 What Pakenham Synthetic Races Where Pakenham Racing Club – 420 Nar Nar Goon–Longwarry Rd, Tynong VIC 3813 When Thursday, July 28, 2022 First Race 1pm AEST Visit Ladbrokes Gallopers will run on the synthetic at Pakenham on Thursday afternoon with eight races on the schedule. Race one for the three-year-old maidens gets us underway at 1pm AEST, while the last of the day will start at 4:30pm. The quaddie will run from races five to eight with the opening leg starting at 3pm, a race which sees a mixture of inexperienced and experienced runners engaged. PAKENHAM BEST BET: VADARCHIE This son of Vadamos x Strictly Time is first up from spell but he has had three trials to get him right for this. On debut he looked very smart when winning at Sale on a Good surface over 1500m. He had Damien Oliver on board that day, but still has an experienced jockey in Daniel Moor to guide him around for Mick Price & Michael Kent Jnr. It’s been 163 days since his debut race and the stable has given him plenty of time to get set to take off again before the spring carnival. It wouldn’t surprise us, with everything going right, if this fellow picks up a race over the spring too. Best Bet Race 8 – #3 Vadarchie (6) 3yo Gelding | T: Mick Price & Michael Kent Jnr | J: Daniel Moor (59.5kg) $4.80 with Bet365 NEXT BEST AT PAKENHAM: EL MISK He will have to carry 62.5kg, but it might be worth a throw at the stumps because he has been racing against better horses than these. El Misk failed at Caulfield when first up (last) but he had only ran one barrier trial before that. He has now followed that race up with another trial, so he should be a lot fitter this time. He has won three races from four attempts on the synthetic, so he is worth a play. Impulsar will be the one to beat but does have a wide barrier to contend with. Next Best Race 7 – #1 El Misk (6) 6yo Gelding | T: Robbie Griffiths & Mathew de Kock | J: Jamie Mott (62.5kg) $7 with Neds PAKENHAM VALUE BET: MOON YANCO Matt Cumani trains and Robert Downie rides this filly who is racing very consistently. She does have barrier 11 to contend with in this field of 12, which is of slight concern, but Downey knows her pretty well and will hope to get her over and settle around third or fourth. She has raced on the synthetic the last three times and has finished third twice, as well as winning by 2.25 lengths at Ballarat over the 1200m. She has started at around $3.50 her last four attempts, so we are thrilled to see the online bookies offering close to double-figure odds. Best Value Race 5 – #10 Moon Yanco (11) 3yo Filly | T: Matt Cumani | J: Robbie Downie (56kg) $9.50 with Bet365 Thursday quaddie tips for Pakenham Pakenham quadrella selections Thursday, July 28, 2022 2-3-4-8-10 1-2-6-10 2 3 Investment: $20 for 100% More horse racing tips View the full article
