JACKIE'S WARRIOR (c, 4, Maclean's Music–Unicorn Girl, by A.P. Five Hundred) became the first horse in history to win Grade I races in three consecutive years at Saratoga as he dominated Saturday's GI Alfred G. Vanderbilt H. in his usual jaw-dropping fashion. Undefeated this term with victories in the Apr. 16 GIII Count Fleet Sprint H., May 7 GI Churchill Downs S. and June 10 GII True North S., the 1-5 favorite let another foe make the lead early and was kept at bay and well off the fence by Joel Rosario. His rider never moved a muscle as he took over into the lane after a :45.17 half, still far out in the track, and Jackie's Warrior simply cantered home under a hammer lock to prevail by a deceptive 1 1/2 lengths in 1:09.74. Kneedeepinsnow (Flat Out), a savvy $80,000 claim back in April, ran on well to complete the exacta. Streaking Willy Boy (Uncaptured) was third.
