Dubawi’s Al Hilalee Stays Perfect At Deauville

   Earning TDN Rising Star status on debut at Newmarket July 13, Godolphin’s Al Hilalee (GB) (Dubawi {Ire}) doubled his tally in a narrow verdict in Deauville’s Listed Criterium du Fonds Europeen de l’Elevage. Sent off the 9-10 favourite, the bay was settled in a close-up second by William Buick and when committed in the final quarter mile was able to hit the line first, two short-head margins in front of compatriots Duke of Hazzard (Fr) (Lope De Vega {Ire}) and Great Scot (GB) (Requinto {Ire}).
