Journalists Wandering Eyes Posted August 19, 2022 Journalists Share Posted August 19, 2022 What Nowra Races Where Archer Racecourse – Albatross Rd, South Nowra NSW 2541 When Sunday, August 21, 2022 First Race 12:51pm AEST Visit Ladbrokes Sunday racing in New South Wales heads to Nowra for a seven-part card at Archer Racecourse. HorseBetting’s New South Wales racing analyst presents his best bets and quaddie numbers for the program, which is scheduled to start at 12:51pm AEST. The track is rated a Soft 6 and the rail is in the true position for the entire course. Best Bet at Nowra – Deni Gal Terry Robinson and Shaun Guymer combine in the fourth race of the day with consistent five-year-old mare Deni Gal. The daughter of Denman has finished in the top three in 50% of her career starts, so we are expecting another positive performance on Sunday. After winning second-up at Goulburn, Deni Gal then finished third behind the talented Po Kare Kare at Gosford in early June, before running well in two Highway races in July at Rosehill Gardens. She comes back to a very weak Benchmark 58, has drawn well and should have no issues with the Soft 6. Best Bet Race 4 – #6 Deni Gal (5) 5yo Mare | T: Terry Robinson | J: Shaun Guymer (58.5kg) $3.20 with Ladbrokes Next Best at Nowra – Powderfinger Three-year-old filly Powderfinger resumes in a very winnable race on Sunday – a Class 1 Handicap over 1100m. The filly by Caravaggio ran third on debut at Canterbury before winning in style at Kembla Grange on May 7, albeit by half a length. She trialled up well on August 5 behind Acappella Sun and Swiss Exile, with the latter being a Group 2 winner. The Gary Portelli-trained galloper has drawn beautifully in barrier three to get a soft lead under Alysha Collett, which will see her prove too hard to catch. Next Best Race 3 – #3 Powderfinger (3) 3yo Filly | T: Gary Portelli | J: Alysha Collett (58.5kg) $3.60 with Neds Best Value at Nowra – Choisir’s Choice Amanda Turner and Kathy O’Hara combine in the fifth race with the talented but raw Choisir’s Choice. The aptly named son of Choisir has only won one of his seven starts, but he still races like it’s his first time every time he steps out on to a track. In three runs this preparation, the four-year-old gelding hasn’t been beaten far at provincial and metropolitan level, so he too should relish coming back to country grade. His only win came at this track back in April, so the familiar surroundings should favour him. Best Value Race 5 – #5 Choisir’s Choice (5) 4yo Gelding | T: Amanda Turner | J: Kathy O’Hara (58kg) $9 with Ladbrokes Sunday quaddie tips for Nowra Nowra quadrella selections Sunday, August 21, 2022 2-6 4-5-8 3-5-6-7 4-7-14 Investment: $120 for 100% More horse racing tips View the full article
