Journalists Wandering Eyes Posted August 23, 2022 Journalists Share Posted August 23, 2022 What Wagga Races Where Murrumbidgee Turf Club – 142 Travers St, Wagga Wagga NSW 2650 When Thursday, August 25, 2022 First Race 12:55pm AEST Visit Ladbrokes Wagga plays host to eight races on Thursday, and HorseBetting’s New South Wales racing analyst has studied the form and picked out his best bets and quaddie numbers. The track is rated a Heavy 10 and the rail is in the true position for the entire course, while the meeting is scheduled to get underway at 12:55pm AEST. Best Bet at Wagga – Sheila In the last race of the afternoon, Matthew Dale saddles up Sheila in what will be her first start at the races. The four-year-old mare has had one barrier trial, winning at Goulburn on August 8 over 800m on a Heavy 9 track. Nick Heywood will be in the saddle on Thursday, and he and Dale will be hoping to continue their good run together. Drawn a touch awkwardly in barrier nine, Sheila is likely to race in the first half of the field – like she did in her trial – and be within striking distance late. We expect the daughter of Adelaide to make it a winning debut. Best Bet Race 8 – #13 Sheila (7) 4yo Mare | T: Matthew Dale | J: Nick Heywood (57kg) $3.60 with Neds Next Best at Wagga – Supido Beauty After winning on debut, Supido Beauty can win again to start her career. The three-year-old filly by Supido did enough to lead all of the way at Goulburn in her first start, clinging on over 1180m on a Heavy 10 track. Prior to that, in her only barrier trial she led and defeated Gold Trip, who has three Group 1 placings to his name. Drawn in the inside alley on Thursday under Alysha Collett, the Darrell Burnet-trained filly is expected to lead and fend off the challenges once again. Next Best Race 3 – #7 Supido Beauty (1) 3yo Filly | T: Darrell Burnet | J: Alysha Collett (55kg) $2.60 with Palmerbet Best Value at Wagga – My Bold Boy Mitch Beer and Jason Lyon combine in the second race with the speedy My Bold Boy. The five-year-old son of Brazen Beau won back-to-back races last preparation before finishing second at this track and distance on a Heavy 8. In his first-up run this time in on the Ballarat synthetic, he led the field up and just capitulated late to run fourth behind Kosowski, who has since raced well. From barrier nine, Lyon will send the gelding forward and be the horse the others have to catch. Best Value Race 2 – #1 My Bold Boy (9) 5yo Gelding | T: Mitchell Beer | J: Jason Lyon (61.5kg) $6.50 with Ladbrokes Thursday quaddie picks for Wagga Wagga quadrella selections Thursday, August 25, 2022 1-4-6-9 4-6-7 2-8-9 5-6-13 Investment: $108 for 100% More horse racing tips View the full article
