Form expert Dale Code has picked out a selection of greyhounds to follow from around Victoria. You may even want to add them to your Blackbook account.

PETER THE BEST (Box 7)
Breeding: Nov ’20 Barcia Bale x Sillat
Trainer: Chris Darmanin, Strathtulloh
Record: 2 starts 2-0-0

Dale says: Peter The Best is unbeaten in two starts winning a heat and the final of the Highway 31 Maiden Challenge at Healesville over 350m against some promising sprinters. He won the final in a scorching 16.51 seconds and the speed he displayed soon after box rise was breathtaking. He makes his circuit debut at Shepparton tonight and he should keep his perfect record intact. At just 22 months and with scope for improvement, I have no doubt that if Peter The Best stays fit and healthy, he can fast develop into an elite sprinter.     Results

WHIZBANG BETTY (Box 4)
Breeding: Nov ’20 Zambora Brockie x Celebrity
Trainer: Kate Gorman, Tanjil South
Record: 10 starts 2-3-2

Dale says: Whizbang Betty has only had 10 starts and she has slowly been stepping up her distances with each run. She made her 730m debut at The Meadows last week scoring a top all-the-way victory in 43.01 seconds and I believe Kate Gorman has found a smart front-running stayer. Whizbang Betty is engaged to run over 680m at Warragul on Tuesday night and I’m expecting Whizbang Betty to continue on her winning ways.     Results

COMMANDER TOMMY (Box 4)
Breeding: July ’20 Fernando Bale x Naughty Cazza
Trainer: Alan Hunter, Botanic Ridge
Record: 9 starts 4-1-1

Dale says:
Commander Tommy has always shown plenty of ability, but his box manners were not the best. He really put it all together though at The Meadows on Saturday night. Nailing the start from Box 4, Commander Tommy posted a best-of-meeting 29.70 seconds in an all-the-way win. If he can become a more consistent beginner, I have no doubt that Commander Tommy can quickly develop into one of the state’s best sprinters.     Results
