Journalists Wandering Eyes Posted September 9, 2022 Journalists Share Posted September 9, 2022 What Belmont Races Where Belmont Park Racecourse – Saintly Entrance, Burswood WA 6100 When Saturday, September 10, 2022 First Race 12:08pm AWST Visit Ladbrokes Belmont Racecourse plays host to nine races on Saturday, including the Listed Farnley Stakes over 1400m. The track is rated a Soft 6, and the rail is out 3m from the 1600m to the 400m and then true for the remainder. Read on to see HorseBetting’s best bets and quaddie tips for the meeting, which kicks off at 12:08pm AWST. Farnley Stakes Best Bet – Resortman Resortman was a strong winner of the Idyllic Prince Stakes last start and that is the main form reference for this Listed event, so we are with the Michael Lane-trained six-year-old in his bid to go back-to-back. The way he finished that race off over 1300m suggested he will relish every bit of the 1400m and he drops 1kg for his troubles. Chris Parnham won on him three starts ago, so he knows the horse well, and they’ve drawn reasonably well in barrier eight. He should go close. Farnley Stakes Race 8 – #2 Resortman (8) 6yo Gelding | T: Michael Lane | J: Chris Parnham (58kg) $3.10 with Palmerbet Best Bet at Belmont – Tiffany Street Unbeaten three-year-old Tiffany Street returns to the races looking to make it win number three from as many starts. The filly by Street Boss won her first two starts comfortably at Ascot back in the autumn as a two-year-old, with Chris Parnham in the saddle both times. While she hasn’t had a public barrier trial in preparation for this first-up run, Daniel Morton could train a rocking horse to win a race at the moment, so we are tipping she will be forward enough for this run. Drawn to do no work from barrier two, Parnham can have this girl handy enough and give her every chance of winning once more. Best Bet Race 2 – #6 Tiffany Street (2) 3yo Filly | T: Daniel Morton | J: Chris Parnham (56kg) $2.60 with Bet365 Best Value at Belmont – Sowar Steve Wolfe and Peter Knuckey combine in the sixth race of the afternoon with six-year-old gelding Sowar. The son of Sepoy has never really run a bad race, finishing in the first three past the post in 23 of his 43 career starts. In two runs back this time in, Sowar has not been beaten far, finishing no more than 4.7 lengths away from the winner. He flies third-up, with two wins and two thirds from four runs, so we expect him to go close once again now that he has some runs under the belt. The 1600m looks ideal and the booking of a senior rider shows plenty of intent from the stable. Best Value Race 6 – #8 Sowar (8) 6yo Gelding | T: Steve Wolfe | J: Peter Knuckey (54kg) $13 with Ladbrokes Saturday quaddie tips for Belmont Belmont quadrella selections Saturday, September 10, 2022 3-6-8 1-2-5-7 2-3-7 2-3-4-8 Investment: $144 for 100% More horse racing tips View the full article
