Journalists Wandering Eyes Posted September 18, 2022 Journalists Share Posted September 18, 2022 What Pakenham Synthetic Races Where Pakenham Racing Club When Monday, September 19, 2022 First Race 12:55pm AEST Visit Ladbrokes The synthetic track at Pakenham is scheduled to host a nine-race program on Monday afternoon, a meeting that was slated to be run at Kyneton. Owing to plenty of wet weather in Melbourne, the Pakenham all-weather track comes back from a brief spell for the meeting set to get underway at 12:55pm AEST. PAKENHAM BEST BET: Moko The Anthony & Sam Freedman-trained Moko has been scratched from plenty of meetings prior to its first-up run, but Monday looks to be the day this filly returns to the rack. The Impending filly is already placed at Group 3 level and twice so at Listed level, showing that she certainly has a class edge on her rivals in this maiden field. The three-year-old filly will no doubt appreciate coming on to the all-weather having competed on bog tracks in Sydney towards the end of her autumn campaign. From barrier 12, look for Damien Thornton to have this girl settled midfield with cover and armed with an elite turn of foot, we expect to see Moko thunder home late and prove a class above for this lot. The $2.50 on offer with some online betting sites looks an absolute steal. Best Bet Race 2 – #12 Moko (12) 3yo Filly | T: Anthony & Sam Freedman | J: Damien Thornton (55kg) $2.50 with Bet365 NEXT BEST AT PAKENHAM: Imps Michael & Luke Cerchi will be hoping their three-year-old filly Imps can go one better than what she did on the Ballarat Synthetic when she steps out over 1100m on Monday. The three-year-old filly finished a length off Running By but put some six-lengths on Satin Love back in third to suggest she would be winning at her next start. Patrick Moloney’s plan looks to be simple; hold the rail from barrier two, have Imps kick clear on the bend and ultimately prove too hard to gun down in the concluding stages. If she wins this, a start in mid-week company should not be too far away. Next Best Race 5 – #8 Imps (2) 3yo Filly | T: Michael & Luke Cerchi | J: Patrick Moloney (55.5kg) $4 with Neds PAKENHAM VALUE BET: Only Need Time The Mark Stephenson-trained Only Need Time took 25 starts to break her maiden but made it two wins in succession when saluting at Mildura on September 3. The five-year-old mare is a genuine front-runner who gives it her all each start and based on the fact she finished second on the Ballarat synthetic four starts back, we expect she will handle the conditions on Monday with great aplomb. From barrier 10, we expect Joe Bowditch to have this girl settled outside Victoria Falls who will look to hold the rail, but with winning confidence and race fitness on her side, Only Need Time might just prove too hard to catch. Best Value Race 7 – #9 Only Need Time (10) 5yo Mare | T: Mark Stephenson | J: Joe Bowditch (59kg) $11 with Bet365 Monday quaddie tips for Pakenham Pakenham quadrella selections Monday, September 19, 2022 1-3-6-9 2-8-9-10 4-6-11 1-2-5-8 Investment: $192 for 100% More horse racing tips View the full article
