Journalists Wandering Eyes Posted September 25, 2022 Journalists Share Posted September 25, 2022 What Echuca Races Where Echuca Racecourse – Cr Scott Rd and Murray Valley Hwy, Echuca VIC 3564 When Tuesday, September 27, 2022 First Race 1:30pm AEST Visit Ladbrokes Echuca Racecourse will host an eight-race card on Tuesday as the solitary Victorian meeting for the day. The track is currently rated a Soft 7, but with good weather in the lead up to the meeting, we expect an upgrade before raceday. The rail will be in the true position for the entire circuit, with the first race jumping at 1:30pm AEST. Echuca Best Bet: Greece The Ciaron Maher & David Eustace-trained Greece has only been before the starter once in her short career, in a Group 2 Reisling Stakes where she finished last by 11 lengths. After her debut race, this daughter of I Am Invincible has been spelled for six months and she now lines up in a $27,000 three-year-old fillies maiden that looks to be a relatively easy kill. This girl contested a jump-out at Cranbourne on September 12 where she was hard held for the entirety of the 800m trial, even though she led and won the trial very easily, suggesting this filly is well above average. Best Bet Race 2 – #5 Greece (5) 3yo F | T: Ciaron Maher & David Eustace | J: Ethan Brown (57kg) $1.95 with Bet365 Next Best Bet at Echuca: Nasdana Nasdana will line up in her third start in a row at Echuca, in a Benchmark 58 Handicap over 1200m. The Matthew Ellerton-trained four-year-old broke her maiden two starts back over the 1200m on a Heavy track before finishing second at her most recent run over the same distance on another Heavy track. Daniel Moor will take the ride on this daughter of Not A Single Doubt and it looks as though she will enjoy a firmer track, although we do expect the track to be rated in the Soft range. If Moor can have this girl in the three-wide running line and be within a couple of lengths of the leaders around the bend, she should be too strong in the straight. Next Best Race 7 – #8 Nasdana (14) 4yo M | T: Matthew Ellerton | J: Daniel Moor (58kg) $5 with Neds Best Value Bet at Echuca: Toojay Our best value runner for the Echuca card comes up in race six with the Nathan Hobson-trained Toojay in a Benchmark 58 Handicap over 1000m. This son of Kaphero only finished behind one at his last start who also lines up in this race in Burning The Clock, and that horse has copped a 2kg penalty for that win. Given that this seven-year-old gelding has only been given an extra half a kilogram and is nearly double the price of his toughest rival, we believe that he is a good bet at the $12 quote with Palmerbet. Best Value Race 6 – #11 Toojay (11) 7yo G | T: Nathan Hobson | J: Tahlia Hope (56.5kg) $12 with Palmerbet Tuesday quaddie numbers for Echuca Echuca quadrella selections Tuesday, September 27, 2022 1-5-7-8 1-7-11 4-8 7-9-11-13 Investment: $96 for 100% More horse racing news View the full article
