Offered about midway through Arqana's Arc Sale at Saint-Cloud Saturday evening, Group 1-placed Schwarzer Peter (Ger) (Neatico {Ger}) (lot 17) brought a winning bid of €1 million from I.T.C. From the draft of trainer Markus Klug, the 3-year-old colt has placed in the G3 Preis der Sparkassen-Finanzgruppe at Baden-Baden on Aug. 27 after running second in the G1 Deutsches Derby on July 3.
