More Than Ready’s Pleasant Passage Goes Gate-to-Wire in Miss Grillo

PLEASANT PASSAGE (f, 2, More Than Ready–Peaceful Passage, by War Front) took her record to two-for-two, following her debut win at Saratoga Aug. 21 with a front-running score in the GII Miss Grillo S. at Aqueduct. Dispatched at 9-1, the Emory Hamilton homebred was pushed along by 8-5 favorite Free Look (Tapit) through opening splits of :23.81 and :49.77. The two continued that way all the way around with Pleasant Passage crossing the line a half-length score in 1:45.25. The Miss Grillo is a “Win and You're In” event for the GI Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies at Keeneland next month. Lifetime Record: 2-2-0-0.
