FORTE (c, 2, Violence–Queen Caroline, by Blame) launched a powerful turn move, out-gamed fellow 'TDN Rising Star' Loggins (Ghostzapper) and survived an objection to notch a narrow victory in the “Win and You're In” GI Claiborne Breeders' Futurity. The last-out GI Hopeful S. winner, who was further flattered when third finisher Blazing Sevens (Good Magic) resurfaced to take the GI Champagne S., paid $10.86 and stopped the clock in 1:44.74. He crossed the line about a head to the good of favored Loggins after seeming to make it tight on that foe as they battled down the stretch. Both colts are out of mares by Blame. Longshot Red Route One (Gun Runner) was best of the rest. Sales history: $80,000 wnlg '20 KEENOV; $110,000 ylg '21 KEESEP.
