(Photo by Pat Scala/Racing Photos)Chain Of Lightning has dominated her rivals in the Group 2 Tristarc Stakes over 1400m as she returns to winning ways after her undefeated run was ended last start. Chain Of Lightning at $5 with online bookmakers beat home Palaisipan and Pride Of Jenni to give Luke Nolen and Peter Moody their first win on Caulfield Cup Day. Chain Of Lightning has now won six of her first seven starts in her young career, showing that this mare is well above average and this could be the first of many Group races for this five-year-old. 2022 Tristarc Stakes Replay Speaking after the race, Katherine Coleman was very pleased with the different race shape that we saw in the Tristarc Stakes when compared to the How Now Stakes last start for her mare. “Yeah definitely, it’s a little bitter sweet watching that. You just think that she should still be unbeaten, but we’ll take that,” said Coleman who was happy but did hold some reservations as to her mare, no longer being unbeaten. “She’s such a talented mare. Luke Nolen, you know, he deserved that. He has worked so hard this Spring and I’m so thrilled for him to get this win today. “Yeah looks she’s just a remarkable horse. Coleman confirmed that Chain Of Lightning will either go to the Golden Eagle or the Empire Rose Stakes. Luke Nolen has won the Tristarc Stakes for the first time since winning it aboard Typhoon Tracey 13 years ago. “I’ve done a lot with her at home actually,” Nolen replied when he was asked how long he’s been waiting to ride her in a race. “Jamie (Kah) warmed the seat nicely for me and I’m glad I got a chance to ride her raceday. “She’s a very nice mare and she is pretty much untapped. “A very good one and it’s been a pretty dirty bloody week.” Luke Nolen said cheekily after finally riding a winner this week aboard Chain Of Lightning. Chain Of Lightning is $11 in the Empire Rose market, whilst she is also $26 in the Golden Eagle market with online betting sites.
