The dual winner Have Secret (Ire) (Havana Gold {Ire}) (lot 80) topped the Goffs UK October HIT and Yearling Sale at £100,000 on Wednesday. Consigned by Richard Fahey's Musley Bank Stables, he was picked back up by that trainer for different owners. His dam was twice stakes placed in France.

Another horse-in-training, Open Champion (Ire) (Postponed {Ire}) (lot 76), made £70,000 to Highflyer Bloodstock and Thurloe Thoroughbreds. Part of Roger Varian's draft, the bay is out of the G3 Sceptre S. heroine Nargys (Ire) (Lawman {Fr}).

At the close of trade, 94 horses sold (66%) of 143 offered for a gross of £811,800. The average and median both declined to £8,636 (-4%) and £4,500 (-10%), respectively.

Goffs UK Managing Director Tim Kent said, “This sale has a long track record of producing smart performers, Buzz being one of the most recent, and it's great to see his owners, Thurloe Thoroughbreds, return here to secure another promising type in Open Champion and hopefully he will prove every bit as successful. With that in mind, we also wish Richard Fahey, along with all those who bought horses at today's sale, the very best with their purchases.”
