Journalists Wandering Eyes Posted October 24, 2022 Journalists Share Posted October 24, 2022 What Hawkesbury Races Where Hawkesbury Race Club – 1 Racecourse Road, Clarendon NSW 2756 When Tuesday, October 25, 2022 First Race 1:15pm AEDT Visit Ladbrokes Hawkesbury Race Club is the place to be on Tuesday afternoon when its hosts the NSW provincial meeting. We’ve got an eight-race card to assess as some of the big trainers and jockeys have their runners appearing against easier opposition compared to the city circuit. The rail sits in the true position and the track is listed as a Soft 5, but with plenty of rain forecast leading into race-day we’re expecting a significant downgrade. The first race gets underway at 1:15pm AEDT. Best Bet: Floating Floating comes into this race in outstanding order after an impressive four-length win over 1300m at Newcastle on October 11. He broke his maiden status that day with an absolute demolition job. He was back and stormed home to win with relative ease. Keagan Latham rode this gelding by Puissance De Lune on that occasion and would be happy that he has retained the ride on Tuesday. Floating comes out of the Matthew Smith yard and looks like he’s simply better than the Class 1 opposition that he is scheduled to face. With the heavy track that he’s likely to encounter, plus a step up to 1500m, he certainly looks like a major player for us come race-day. Latham will sit quietly on this guy and then when asked for an effort he should smash his rivals for another dominant win this preparation. We think only bad luck will cost him victory. Best Bet Race 3 – #1 Floating (2) 4yo Gelding | T: Matthew Smith | J: Keagan Latham (59kg) $1.95 with Bet365 Next Best: Kazalark We head back a race for another progressive type from the Chris Waller stable. Kazalark is a colt by Vadamos and showed more than enough in his first-up effort over 1400m at Rosehill on September 28 to tell us he’s not far off breaking his maiden status, and this looks a nice target. He was only beaten 3.4 lengths that day when coming sixth and looked as though he needed an immediate step up in distance, and gets that on Tuesday over 1500m. The possible wet track only looks to boost his chances, too, with his trials suggesting he’ll appreciate the sting out of the ground on this Hawkesbury track. Brenton Avdulla takes the reins here, and from the soft gate he’ll look to find the back of the leaders throughout before emerging late to get career win number one on the board. Next Best Race 2 – #2 Kazalark (1) 3yo Colt | T: Chris Waller | J: Brenton Avdulla (57.5kg) $1.95 with Bet365 Next Best Again: Huon Huon has some nice form on his side and looks hard to beat in race five on the card. He comes out of the James Cummings yard, and why wouldn’t you want to be backing that stable’s horses right now? This gelding by Kermadec got the better of a horse called Communist by two lengths last preparation at Newcastle on May 28. Communist was just beaten less than a length by Golden Mile in the Group 2 Callander-Presnell on Saturday, October 23. Huon just needs to repeat that level of form from May here first-up over 1100m (BM64) and he should prove too strong for his rivals on Tuesday afternoon. Zac Lloyd rode Huon to victory against Communist last preparation and he’ll look to utilise the same tactics he did last time. He’ll lead and take plenty of beating, especially with a 1.5kg claim. Next Best Again Race 5 – #5 Huon (7) 4yo Gelding | T: James Cummings | J: Zac Lloyd (59.5kg) $3.20 with Bet365 Tuesday quaddie tips for Hawkesbury races Hawkesbury quadrella selections Tuesday, October 25, 2022 5-7-10 3-6-7-11 1-2-3 2-6-7-8 Investment: $144 for 100% More horse racing tips View the full article
