Journalists Wandering Eyes Posted October 30, 2022 Journalists Share Posted October 30, 2022 The Ciaron Maher & David Eustace-trained Interpretation was one of the final qualifiers for the 2022 Melbourne Cup. The four-year-old has long been aimed towards a start in the great race, but his recent form has suggested he might be up against it in a race like this. This son of Galileo is a natural front-runner, so will need to find the front early on. Could Interpretation cause an upset in the Melbourne Cup? When will Interpretation run in the Melbourne Cup? The Melbourne Cup will be run on the first Tuesday in November at Flemington in front of a sold out crowd for the first time in 2019. The one thing that hasn’t changed about the 2022 Melbourne Cup is the horses. Can Interpretation win The Cup? Interpretation has been nothing short of disappointing this campaign, having been well supported in all four starts, only to produce one third-place finish in The Bart Cummings as her best result. The Maher & Eustace runner has not won a race in his career other than when he has lead and from barrier six looks set to be up on speed. However, with Knights Order expected to zoom across the front of the field, it is unlikely Interpretation leads and on that fact alone, he cannot win.
