We go back to the Morphettville Parks track this Saturday for a competitive nine-race card. The track is currently rated as a Soft 5, but with good weather around on Friday and Saturday, we should get an upgrade to a Good track on race day. The rail will be in the 4m position for the entire circuit, and racing gets underway at 12:22pm ACDT.

Best Bet: Daring Move

In the Benchmark 86 Handicap over 1000m for the speedsters, we will be siding with the Richard & Chantelle Jolly-trained Daring Move as she looks to complete a hattrick of wins on Saturday. This four-year-old mare has compiled an ultra-impressive record throughout her career, winning four from six to date, with all four of those wins coming at the 1000m. Even though this girl hasn’t been to Benchmark 86 grade before, her last two wins have been impressive and her on-pace racing style gives her every chance, especially on the Parks track which seems to favour leaders. With a lot of natural leaders and many of them coming from wider barriers, Barend Vorster should be able to sit in the one-one and come off the leader’s heels in the straight to hopefully run away with the prize late.

Best Bet

Race 5 – silks#7 Daring Move (4)

4yo Mare | T: Richard & Chantelle Jolly | J: Barend Vorster (54kg)

$3 with Bet365

Next Best: Neodium

Our next best bet of the day will be the Phillip Stokes-trained Neodium who will be looking to notch up his third win in a row for the preparation. This six-year-old gelding has been very good this preparation winning his last two starts over 1550m and considering he now drops back to the 1400m, he is a very live chance in this race on Saturday. This son of Terango will aid from Logan McNeil’s claim of 3kg, helping him roll along at the front of the field at his own pace. He has drawn a sticky barrier, drawing barrier 14 of 18, but he will want to lead, so if McNeil can cross the field and not do too much work early on, this guy will take some catching in the concluding stages.

Next Best

Race 9 – silks#1 Neodium (14)

6yo Gelding | T: Phillip Stokes | J: Logan McNeil (63.5kg)

$4.80 with Bet365

Best Value: Territory Titan

The James & Lisa Dodgson-trained Territory Titan will come back from the Listed Seymour Cup to a Benchmark 82 and he looks a very good chance at odds to take out this race over 1550m. This seven-year-old gelding will push forward from barrier 11 of 12 and look to lead the field for the majority of the 1550m. Jarrod Lorensini will retain the ride after his ride on this guy in the Seymour Cup, and hopefully with his superior gate speed he should find the front and be very hard to run down.

Best Value

Race 7 – silks#5 Territory Titan (11)

7yo Gelding | T: James & Lisa Dodgson | J: Jarrod Lorensini (55.5kg)

$9.50 with Neds
