GRV’s Peter Quilty, Gerard Guthrie and Trent Langskaill provide their thoughts on some of the star greyhounds racing in Victoria.

Keep an eye on these, they are worth saving in your WatchDog Blackbook!

Quilts  Fellas, can you believe the Sportsbet Dream Chasers Festival is upon us? $4.1 million in prize money to be won over five sensational Saturday nights – dreams will become reality.

Gerard  Wow She’s Fast is the epitome of a dream chaser, Quilts, and Kel Greenough is confident she has recovered from her unlucky Adelaide Cup run in readiness for the Group 1 Sportsbet Topgun.

Trent  She will have to be spot on from Box 5, Gerard, when you consider the class of this field including the Million Dollar Chase winner McInerney.

Gerard  I spoke to Peter Lagogiane this week and he is hoping his fairy tale journey continues with the recent Group 2 Black Top winner French Martini.

Quilts  Don’t forget about Zippy Tesla, gents. He does rely on luck with his get-back style, but he can fly late, which was evident when he won the Group 1 Silver Chief Final.

Trent  The quality performers don’t stop there with the Group 1 Perth Cup champion Vice Grip and multiple Group winner Zipping Kyrgios – he’s more consistent than Nick.

Gerard  Cheeky from you, Trent. Photo Man and Amron Boy have gained starts due to scratchings, but the Group 2 Flying Amy Classic Final quinella cannot be taken lightly.

Quilts  Speaking of scratchings, it’s a shame that Group 1 winner Super Estrella will not take her place in the Group 1 Sportsbet Topgun Stayers.

Gerard  You spoke to Jeff Britton this week about Mepunga Ruby and despite not racing for five months, Jeff believes that she is primed to “run a really good race”.

Trent  What about the stars in the Group 1 Hume Cup Final? Jarick Bale is a dual Group 1 champion, Aston Velvet is a Pink Diamond winner, Pocket Money was one length off the 600-metre track record in his heat, and Dookie Devil has won three straight. What a night!
