Journalists Wandering Eyes Posted November 7, 2022 Journalists Share Posted November 7, 2022 Form expert Dale Code has picked out a selection of runs from around Victoria that have caught the eye over the past fortnight. #1 KELSEY BALE (Box 5) Breeding: Jun ’20 Feral Franky x Ethla AllenTrainer: Daniel Gibbons, AvalonRecord: 41 starts 14-8-5 Dale says: Quite simply one of the biggest runs you could ever wish to see at Group level. Kelsey Bale began well in the Group 1 RSN Silver Bullet (525m) on Melbourne Cup eve at The Meadows, but she was shuffled back to last, losing as much as four lengths by the time she balanced up again. Trailing by five lengths with superstars including Titan Blazer and Amron Boy in front of her, Kelsey Bale miraculously found another gear, soaring past her rivals to win in a scorching 29.56sec. Considering the ground she lost I believe her run was good enough to eclipse the long-standing 29.38sec track record set by the late Allen Deed. He defeated Group 1 placegetter Red Reactor with ease, clocking a devastating 24.71sec over the 450m at Shepparton. The run by Revolution was less than a length outside the 24.66sec track record owned by the electrifying Mr. Audacious. After being posted wide on the bend and looking a place chance at best, Juliet Keeping stormed home to win comfortably in an eye-catching performance.
