FAIZA (f, 2, Girvin–Sweet Pistol, by Smart Strike) outlasted a duel with Teena Ella (War Front) to become the second 'TDN Rising Star' for her freshman sire (by Tale of Ekati). Outside of Beholder's third foal from the get go, Faiza pressed the pace through an opening quarter in :21.92 before powering away as the top pair straightened for the wire. As Teena Ella began to fade after a half mile in :44.76, Faiza drew off convincingly, hitting the wire geared down to win by daylight over Lily Poo (Tapiture). Lifetime Record: 1-1-0-0.
