My Whisper for Peter & Paul Snowden and Mark Zahra has taken out the Group 3 Summoned Stakes in the last race of the day at Caulfield on Zipping Classic Day.

Toregene and Deny Knowledge chose to take up the lead together and when they hit the lead they scooted along at a very quick tempo, which set the race up for a swooper like My Whisper to storm home down the outside late.

The winner jumped as the second favourite at $6.50 with online bookmakers, beating home the brave Toregene ($7) and Cliff’s Art ($8), who ran home from the back with the winner.

Peter & Paul Snowden have enjoyed a good spring with this girl after she recorded a win in the Group 3 Tessio Stakes at Moonee Valley, making it two Group 3 victories for the spring.

The Snowden’s Victorian stable representative, Andrew Angelone, spoke post-race about the win.

“She ran enormous today. I was pretty confident she was gonna run a nice race and things just had to pan out well.” Angelone said post-race.

“To Mark’s (Zahra) credit, he peeled her out at the right time and you could see from about the 200-300 metres out she was gonna be hard to beat.

“In 2023 she could definitely go on.

“She has a lot more ability than she is showing right now, so hopefully it all pans out for her.”

Mark Zahra ends his Victorian Spring Carnival with yet another winner after taking out the Group 3 Summoned Stakes, to cap off an outstanding spring.

“Down the side, the leader put more speed into the race and that allowed my filly to relax and give me every chance.” Zahra explained that the hot tempo really suited his filly.

Zahra finished his interview with a little indication as to where My Whisper could get to next preparation.

“The right Group 1 over a mile against her own age, she is always a good chance.”
