Journalists Wandering Eyes Posted November 27, 2022 Journalists Share Posted November 27, 2022 By Joshua Smith, Harness News Desk Amanda Telfer can’t wait to return to Addington Raceway for the Harness Grand Prix meeting after a perfect result at the Christchurch track on Sunday. Three of Stonewall Stud’s juvenile fillies stepped out in the Aces ‘All In’ 2YO Fillies Mobile (Pace) ahead of next Sunday’s Group 1 Ace of Diamonds (1980m) and Telfer was thrilled to see her runners fill the first three spots. Group 1 performer Ardiebytheseaside led home the trifecta, with Blair Orange reining Forever Me home for second, while Sweet Diamond sealed a perfect result for the dual Island barn when third. “It was a good result for the fillies heading into next week,” said Telfer, who trains in partnership with her brother Steve. “They all went pretty good runs in the Sires’ Stakes and they backed that up today. “Ardiebytheseaside was very good today. She did a bit of work to get around and was still strong at the finish. “It was Blair’s first drive behind Forever Me and he drove her well and she hit the line very hard, I was very impressed with the way she got home. “It was a tough run from Sweet Diamond. Ellie (Barron) has been driving her of late and she is going well. She did a bit of work and was still there in the finish. “Everything is looking good for next week.” The stable will also have a strong hand in many of the key races in the Grand Prix meeting. “It will be a good day. We have got five in the fillies race, Alta Meteor in the boys race (Gr.1 Ace Of Spades, 1980m), B D Joe will go around (in the Group 3 Summer Cup, 1980m), and Sweet Obsession in the Oaks.” B D Joe was eighth in the Group 1 New Zealand Trotting Cup (3200m) before finishing sixth in the Gr.1 New Zealand Pacing Free-For-All (1980m) and Telfer said he has come through those runs well. “He is very well,” she said. “He had a few days off after the Cup and Free-For-All and he will head towards the Invercargill Cup.” Meanwhile, the Mark Purdon and Hayden Cullen-trained pair of Sherlock and With Style recorded the quinella in the Aces ‘All In’ 2YO Colts and Geldings Mobile Pace (1980m), putting them in good stead for next Sunday.
