Journalists Wandering Eyes Posted November 29, 2022 Journalists Share Posted November 29, 2022 What Wangaratta Races Where Wangaratta Racecourse – Racecourse Rd, Wangaratta VIC 3677 When Thursday, December 1, 2022 First Race 1pm AEDT Visit Ladbrokes We head to Wangaratta Racecourse on Thursday for a very competitive nine-race program. The track is currently rated a Soft 5, but with good weather on the forecast for Wednesday and Thursday, we expect to be on a Good track. The rail will be in the true position for the entire circuit, with racing set to kick off at 1pm AEDT. Best Bet: Joseylin Our best bet of the day will be the Ben & JD Hayes-trained Joseylin, who will be looking for her first win of the preparation and her fourth win of her career. This four-year-old mare will be having her fifth start for the campaign and she will be taking on the easiest opposition that she has faced in sometime, so Thursday should be the day that we see her get back to the winners circle. This daughter of Pride Of Dubai has recorded two of her three victories at 1000m. At her last start over 1000m this girl finished 1.5 lengths behind Direct at Mornington on September 24 and since that meeting Direct has gone onto win two very nice races in town. If this mare brings that form from Mornington to Wangaratta on Thursday over 1000m, she should be beating this field. Best Bet Race 8 – #3 Joseylin (9) 4yo Mare | T: Ben & JD Hayes | J: Jake Noonan (60kg) $3.20 with Bet365 Next Best Bet: Daniher In the fifth race of the day, we will siding with the Anthony & Sam Freedman-trained Daniher as he will be looking to break his maiden at career start number four at his third start this preparation. This son of Fighting Sun was brave in defeat last start at Geelong, when he ran fifth by 3.75 lengths making up a stack of ground in the home straight after being held up rounding the home corner. After having two runs back from a spell over 1200m and 1425m, this guy should be ready for the step up to 1590m on Thursday. From barrier 15, Damien Thornton will have to drop to the back of the field and look to run on, but that shouldn’t worry this gelding as he has settled in the back half of the field at all three of his careers starts. With even luck in running, we should see this guy break his maiden status on Thursday. Next Best Race 5 – #5 Daniher (15) 3yo Gelding | T: Anthony & Sam Freedman | J: Damien Thornton (58kg) $6.50 with Betfair Best Value Bet: Come On Eileen Our best value bet of the day will come up in the first leg of the quaddie, where the Matt Cumani-trained Come On Eileen looks to be hard to beat. This daughter of Headwater will be dropping back from Class 3, $175,000 race at Cranbourne to a Benchmark 64, $37,500 race at Wangaratta on Thursday. First-up this preparation she won by a nose at Ballarat in a Benchmark 64 over 1400m, before going to Cranbourne and recording a last start 10th of 10 by 11 lengths. Rising to 1590m and coming back down in grade seems to be the perfect recipe for this girl and if she can find the lead uncontested, she will give a great sight out in front at $8 with online bookmakers. Best Value Race 6 – #4 Come On Eileen (10) 5yo Mare | T: Matt Cumani | J: Thomas Stockdale (58.5kg) $8 with Neds Thursday quaddie tips for Wangaratta Wangaratta quadrella selections Thursday, December 1, 2022 2-4-5-8 2-3-8-10 3-5 1-2-3-9 Investment: $128 for 100% More horse racing tips View the full article
