MIND CONTROL (h, 6, Stay Thirsty–Feel That Fire, by Lightnin N Thunder) closed out his impressive career in style with his third Grade I victory and 11th black-type score Saturday in Aqueduct's GI Cigar Mile. Stalking from second as 58-1 Outlier (Not This Time) dictated terms through early fractions of :23.26 ad :46.55, the 3-1 shot made a two-wide move to confront that for at the top of the line. The pacesetter called it a day, but White Abarrio (Race Day) and Get Her Number (Dialed In) were right there with him. The veteran sprinter outbattled those foes, edging clear in the nick of time to win by a neck in his 29th and final career start. Lifetime Record: 29-12-3-6.
