Racing again off the pace in seventh, Tapit Shoes settled outside of horses up the back straightaway and began to pick rivals off into the turn. Put to a drive while four wide past the quarter pole, he drove clear despite racing greenly a furlong from home, hitting the wire much the best while wrapped up the final sixteenth to be 7 1/2 lengths ahead of More Than Five (More Than Ready).
