Journalists Wandering Eyes Posted December 5, 2022 Journalists Share Posted December 5, 2022 What Warwick Farm Races Where Warwick Farm Racecourse – Governor Macquarie Dr, Warwick Farm NSW 2170 When Wednesday, December 7, 2022 First Race 2:20pm AEDT Visit Ladbrokes We’re back to racing at Warwick Farm on Wednesday afternoon for a competitive seven-race program. The rail has been moved out +3m for the entire circuit and we should be racing on a genuine Good 4 surface. With just 76 acceptors and smaller fields for us to dissect, it doesn’t make it any easier to find winners in what looks a tricky card. The first race is scheduled to get underway at 2:20pm AEDT. Best Bet: With Your Blessing With Your Blessing looks to have returned in terrific order and is shooting for back-to-back wins in race six at Warwick Farm on Wednesday afternoon. This John Thompson-trained four-year-old by Vadamos won in convincing fashion first-up at Newcastle on November 15 over 900m when steaming down the middle of the track after travelling wide throughout. It was impressive to the eye and the clock. The step up to the 1000m is only a positive, with his pattern to get back in the field meaning he should simply have more time to pick up his rivals. He looks to have a class edge on this company, and provided apprentice Reece Jones can keep With Your Blessing out of trouble turning for home, he looks too good again. Best Bet Race 6 – #2 With Your Blessing (6) 4yo Gelding | T: John Thompson | J: Reece Jones (a1.5)(58.5kg) $4.20 with Bet365 Next Best: Kouklara We jump back to the first leg of the quaddie to find our next best of the afternoon with another horse looking for back-to-back wins in Kouklara. Her effort to win at Rosehill on November 16 first-up was outstanding after getting back to last and trucking down the middle of the track to score. We didn’t think the 1300m on that occasion would suit, but she delivered a career best to lift to victory in similar company to what she finds on Wednesday. The 1.5kg claim for apprentice Tyler Schiller should come in handy, as from barrier four he’ll try and find a sit somewhere midfield for this mare by Prince Cheri. If he can lob somewhere positive, Kouklara looks hard to hold out again. Next Best Race 4 – #1 Kouklara (4) 5yo Mare | T: Joseph Pride | J: Tyler Schiller (a1.5)(59.5kg) $3.60 with Unibet Best Value: Los Padres We’re excited to see what this two-year-old colt can produce in the first race of the Warwick Farm card. Los Padres looks a cracking bet in the opener for the James Cummings yard after two eye-catching trials in the lead up to this first-up tilt. He’s run third in both his trials, the first at Warwick Farm on November 4 and then producing another strong-looking performance on November 21 at Gosford. In both trials this son of Zoustar was hard held and looked to leave plenty in the tank heading into raceday conditions, so with that in mind, we’re happy to side with Los Padres in a field that lacks much experience at the track anyway. Experienced hoop Tommy Berry takes the reins and only needs to overcome the tricky outside draw to have Los Padres close enough to strike late in the opener.
