Journalists Wandering Eyes Posted December 9, 2022 Journalists Posted December 9, 2022 Jason Servis has pled guilty to one felony count of misbranding and one misdemeanor count of using and distributing SGF-1000. The pleas came in federal court in downtown Manhattan Friday morning. He faces four years in prison, and will be sentenced May 8, 2023, at 11 a.m. His felony misbranding was with a drug similar to, but stronger than, clenbuterol. A discussion about Maximum Security was held in the courtroom, with Servis not challenging the accusation that he gave the horse the drug. He said he was under the belief that it was okay to use in consultation with his veterinarian. Some counts were dismissed, including one that could have led to significantly longer prison time. He also faces restitution of approximately $600,000 and forfeiture of $111,000. This story will be updated.
