Journalists Wandering Eyes Posted January 12, 2023 Journalists Posted January 12, 2023 Due to a tornado warning issued for Jessamine and Fayette Counties–including Lexington and surrounding towns–the start of the fourth and final session of the Keeneland January Horses of All Ages Sale has been delayed. According to a tweet posted on the auction house's Twitter feed at 9:16 a.m. ET, the sale is now estimated to begin at 10:30 a.m. ET, 30 minutes past its original start time of 10 a.m. According to the National Weather Service, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located eight miles west of Richmond, Kentucky, moving in an eastward direction at 55 mph. The area is also under a severe thunderstorm warning until 10 a.m. ET and a severe thunderstorm watch through 1 p.m., according to NWS.
