Racing in South Australia returns to Murray Bridge on Friday afternoon for a competitive seven-race program. Perfect conditions are set to greet punters with the track coming up a Good 4, while the rail comes out 3m from the 1000m to the winning post and in the 1200m chute, with it remaining in the true the remainder of the circuit. The day of racing gets underway at 3:40pm ACDT.

Best Bet at Murray Bridge: Boss Lady Rocks

Coming off an impressive victory at Moonee Valley on December 16, the Ron Stubbs-trained Boss Lady Rocks looks a clear best bet out of Murray Bridge. The six-year-old mare managed to sit off a hot speed on that occasion and managed to overhaul the tearaway leader. She stays at the 1000m on Friday and with a similarly run scamper expected, the race looks perfectly set up for Lachie Neindorf to have her positioned in the one-one from barrier five. From there, look for Neindorf to have her stalking the speed and when asked for an effort there is no reason why Boss Lady Rocks cannot put a space on a field like this.

Best Bet

Race 2 – Silk #6 Boss Lady Rocks (5)

6yo Mare | T: Ron Stubbs | J: Lachie Neindorf (a1.5) (55kg)

$1.80 with Unibet

Next Best at Murray Bridge: En Francais

The Jake Stephens-trained En Francais returns from a near six-month spell and will be looking to build on an impressive start to her career. The Puissance de Lune mare is yet to finish outside of the top three in seven starts and despite winning just twice and placing on five other occasions, she looks to have the most upside in a field like this. Look for Lachie Neindorf to use his 1.5kg claim to his advantage and have En Francais lead the field up over 1400m. If that’s the case, she should gain a couple of cheap sectionals and when Neindorf asks for an effort, we expect En Francais to kick clear and get her summer campaign off to a winning start.

Next Best

Race 5 – Silk #9 En Francais (10)

5yo Mare | T: Jake Stephens | J: Lachie Neindorf (a1.5) (55.5kg)

$4 with Neds

Best Value at Murray Bridge: Qeyaady

Qeyaady was the definition of a good thing beaten first-up from a spell over 900m here at Murray Bridge and we expect he will bounce back in style on Friday. It was a sharp form reversal from what he had shown during his last two campaigns. The four-year-old gelding saw nothing but backsides until the final 100m where he deadset leapt out of the ground to go down by the barest of margins. From barrier 10, he should be avoiding such issues under Todd Pannell and as long as he does not get trapped wide, we expect Qeyaady to bring ups his first win in almost 630 days and in doing so, salute at a nice price with online bookmakers.

Best Value

Race 6 – Silk #9 Qeyaady (10)

4yo Gelding | T: Michael Hickmott | J: Todd Pannell (58kg)

$8 with Bet365
