Journalists Wandering Eyes Posted January 23, 2023 Journalists Share Posted January 23, 2023 GRV is seeking expressions of interest from persons interested in joining the Industry Consultative Group (ICG) in 2023. The ICG was established in February 2016 to provide independent advice and assistance to the GRV Board on issues of significance affecting the sport of greyhound racing. The Board regards the ICG as a key means of consulting with the broader industry and receiving advice on topical issues. The ICG comprises of 10-12 industry representatives selected by the Board. ICG Meetings are currently chaired by GRV Board member Bill Buccilli. Updates are provided to the full Board on ICG matters raised and any advice or feedback provided. When selecting members of the Committee the Board seeks to include participants from all areas of the industry including owners, trainers, breeders, Clubs, track veterinarians and GOTBA, with varying levels and years of experience. Several participant vacancies have arisen on the ICG at this time and GRV is now seeking expressions of interest from trainers, owners and breeders who would like to contribute to the industry as ICG members. The Committee meets quarterly via a mix of in person meetings held at GRV Head Office or a metropolitan club and remote videoconference meetings. Currently meetings are held on a Thursday night with a usual start time of 5.00pm. The 2023 meeting dates will be confirmed with the ICG members once committee membership is finalised. ICG meetings discuss and consider issues or topics raised by members and those referred from the Board for advice. The GRV CEO and members of the Leadership Team regularly attend meetings to provide information to ICG members and also to receive firsthand advice and feedback on critical industry issues.
