GRV’s Peter Quilty, Gerard Guthrie and Trent Langskaill provide their thoughts on some of the star greyhounds racing in Victoria.

Keep an eye on these, they are worth saving in your WatchDog Blackbook!

Quilts  Fellas, the third and final event in the Gippsland Festival of Racing takes place on Thursday night and the Group 2 Traralgon Cup Final promises to be an absolute beauty.

Trent  Quilts, my namesake – Salad Dodger – has a tremendous opportunity to break through at Group level. He has an almost impeccable record of four wins from five starts in Box 1.

Gerard  You’ve elevated yourself in the order to highlight Salad Dodger, Trent. Vance Bale (Box 2) recorded the biggest upset in the seven heats. Could he secure another shock win?

Quilts  Mr. Audacious (Box 3) could not have returned in better fashion with his track record-breaking performance on Friday night. Will he claim his second Group race triumph?

Trent  Revolution (Box 4) is one of the in-form greyhounds in Victoria with five successive wins. He is also three-from-three over the 450-metre trip at Traralgon.

Gerard  I’ve spoken to Daryl Brennan about his red-hot chaser Mobile Legend (Box 5). Daryl and his twin brother, Colin, are confident that the Warragul Cup winner can prevail again.

Quilts  Zella Bale (Box 6) was an upset winner in her heat, but she had won two of her previous four races leading in. Box 6 isn’t a great draw, but she possesses great early speed.

Trent  I’m Talking (Box 7) held off a classy field in his heat which included Group performer Titan Blazer. He is also in strong form with six top-two finishes in his last seven races.

Gerard  River Rough cannot be taken lightly. He is unbeaten in three starts from Box 8 and he gave Mobile Legend a real run for his money on Friday night.

Trent  Don’t forget that Premier Racing at Sandown Park features two quality events on Thursday night – the Maidment Memorial (Race 6) and the Australian Sprint (Race 8).
