Positioned in the front-running group of four that broke off from the field early, QUEEN GODDESS (m, 5, Empire Maker–Royal Story, by Lemon Drop Kid) raced two-wide behind the moderate pace set by Sweet Enough (GB) (Lope de Vega {Ire}) as the leading quartet of fillies made their way up the backstretch. Moving widest of the four into the far turn, she swept by three-wide past Dalika (Ger) (Pastorious {Ger}) and assumed command at the head of the lane. With several lengths in hand, Queen Goddess had more than enough of a gap built up to fend off a closing Shantisara (Ire) (Coulsty {Ire}) for the clear win in the GIII Pegasus World Cup Filly & Mare Turf. The field covered the 1 1/16 miles in 1:41.91. Lifetime Record: 11-6-2-1.

O-Eclipse Thoroughbred Partners & Gary Barber; B-Tolo Thoroughbreds; T-Michael McCarthy. Sales History: $285,000 RNA ylng FTSAUG, $1,525,000 4yo FTKNOV.
