Journalists Wandering Eyes Posted September 6, 2018 Journalists Share Posted September 6, 2018 By Daithi Harvey Its probably fair to assume that when John Gosden chose the G3 September S. at Kempton on Saturday as the comeback run for Enable (GB) (Nathaniel {Ire}), he would have been surprised if the brilliant filly wasn’t the highest rated performer in the 5-runner field. That accolade belongs to Crystal Ocean (GB) (Sea The Stars {Ire}), rated a pound superior to the Juddmonte filly and surprisingly pitched in by his trainer Sir Michael Stoute to form an intriguing and unexpected clash in what is normally a relatively minor race in the European pattern. Frankie Dettori has never been beaten on Enable and he resumes the partnership on Saturday and the five-time Group 1 winner is well treated by the race conditions, receiving 8lbs from Crystal Ocean. The mile and a half event on Kempton’s Polytrack will be shown live on ITV Racing at 2.05pm. View the full article
