GRV’s Peter Quilty, Gerard Guthrie and Trent Langskaill provide their thoughts on some of the star greyhounds racing in Victoria.

Keep an eye on these, they are worth saving in your WatchDog Blackbook!

Quilts  Fellas, I am refreshed and ready for what is simply a magnificent start to the Unmissable Australian Cup Carnival at The Meadows this Saturday night.

Trent  It’s great to have you back, Quilts, especially with the star-studded field in the Group 1 Sportsbet Temlee featuring the trifecta from the second edition of The Phoenix.

Gerard  I have spoken to Kel Greenough about Wow She’s Fast and he mentioned that she is pretty close to full fitness. It would be foolish to dismiss the dual Phoenix champion despite five weeks off.

Quilts  Is this the race where Amron Boy gets the better of Wow She’s Fast? The Group 1 Silver Chief winner has enjoyed a break since the Group 1 Paws of Thunder Final at Wentworth Park.

Trent  She’s A Pearl returned to her brilliant best from the outside draw in last month’s Paws of Thunder Final. Can she break through in Victoria after a brave third in The Phoenix?

Gerard  Kelsey Bale – dual Group winner, McInerney – Million Dollar Chase champion, Mobile Legend – two Group 2 country cups already this year, Fernando Mick – Group 1 winner, Baby Jaycee – dual Group placed … what a line-up.

Quilts  Cawbourne Magic could provide the Lords with the first of three Group 1s in the Sportsbet Zoom Top. What a feat it would be if Punter’s Bandit (Rookie Rebel) and She’s A Pearl win as well.

Gerard  Moraine Suzie and Mepunga Ruby are Group 1 winners, and trainer Jeff Britton highlighted that Mepunga Ruby is full of confidence and loves racing at The Meadows.

Quilts  Lisa Delbridge advised me that the dual Group 1 Sale Cup winner Jarick Bale is jumping out of his skin in readiness to defend his title in the Group 1 Sportsbet Rookie Rebel.

Trent  Group 1 Hume Cup winner Aston Velvet, plus fellow Group winners French Martini and Dookie Devil, are worthy challengers to Jarick Bale. Bring on the invitationals!
