A half-sister to SW Vast (Lea) and from the family of Archipenko, Blame, Nureyev and Sadler's Wells, Sower has since produced colts by Just A Way (Jpn) and the late Duramente (Jpn). B-Oiwake Farm Sunday, March 5, 20232nd-HSN, ¥10,480,000 ($77k), Maiden, 3yo, 1200mJUZCAR (c, 3, American Pharoah–Blue Bahia, by Wildcat Heir) failed to land a serious blow in a pair of 2-year-old appearances, but turned in a much-improved effort on his sophomore debut Feb. 11 to finish a close third over course and distance behind Gran Pharaoh (American Pharoah), remarkably also bred by Dennis Drazin (see below, SC 4).
